My friend Chris Hoff is looking for a job. Chris is a super smart technology guru who also has a few other redeeming and nonredeeming qualities. He will be leaving his current position sometime in March and has put out a feeler to see what bites. I can’t offer him a job because of our company hiring freeze (although I could use a good help desk tech to reset passwords) :)

Here are a few things that Hoff could do between now and the time he finds his next “Rock Star” position.

Barista – If you know Chris then you know about the “hoffichino”. Why not let him make them for the rest of us for a while? Although a Hoff w/ unlimited access to caffeine is a scary thought.

Poet – We know that Chris has a way with words and a penchant for penning poetic humor. Maybe he could even become America’s official Poet Laureate.

Cloud Evangelist – We have evangelist for most every Security company and many different technologies. Maybe we need a Cloud Evangelist. Chris could travel the country trying to convince all of us to become the cloud.

Virtual Hoff – Virtualization is another area where Chris has lots of knowledge and understanding. Maybe he could virtualize himself and then he could do all of these things and more.

Debater – Chris could become a professional debater traveling the country and debating others on the merits of various security technologies.

Author – The world of Science Fiction could always use another author to write mega volume works. He could start by combining all his writing on Virtualization or Cloud Security and come up with something to rival the best.

Good luck Chris. If things don’t work out soon call me and I’ll push to get that help desk position filled. Atlanta is a great place to live. :)
